Yoga has helped me through countless chapters of my life. I've struggled with migraines, insomnia, grief and anxiety. For each "chapter," I've found certain yoga poses that have helped me tremendously. I know that whatever challenges you might be facing, that yoga can help you too.

As a certified yoga instructor, I focus on targeted sequences that address specific health issues. In my "other" career as a copywriter, I've written extensively about how powerful yoga can be in mitigating the symptoms of thyroid disease and other health issues.

I now teach chair yoga, senior balance yoga, trans/binder yoga, hyperthyroid yoga, fertility yoga and will soon be adding special programs for addiction/recovery, sexual abuse victims and grief.

My professional yoga story started on a hot summer day in the Salt Lake City airport. There were thunderstorms in New York, meaning a three hour flight delay. Seeing the 15 or so restless kids waiting at the gate, and feeling rather antsy myself after two long days of meetings with my marketing client, I asked some of the kids’ parents if I could do a few yoga moves with them. We gathered in a circle and started with fluttering butterfly. As we moved to dancing tree, more kids joined in. The parents were thrilled. But I was the most euphoric that day - knowing my decades of yoga practice and modifying poses for my own little ones was being put to use with total strangers.
My career in marketing and copywriting has been extremely rewarding, but nothing beat that feeling of helping these kids channel their energy, challenge their strength, and calm their fidgety little bodies.
We were complete strangers, brought into unity through yoga, the very meaning of the word.
Namaste.
