Hypothyroidism

Not only can certain yoga poses stimulate a poorly functioning thyroid to produce more hormone, some studies show that it is possible to even reverse some cases of hypothyroidism with yoga. There are many poses that can significantly reduce overactive thyroid symptoms. Even if you haven't been officially diagnosed with overactive thyroid, if you're feeling tired, sluggish, forgetful, and weight is creeping on - there's a very good chance your hormone production is involved.

Yoga therapy can reduce these symptoms by stimulating the thyroid gland. A regular practice can even help prevent these symptoms from occurring.

Please note that these poses are not indicated for hyperthyroidism (overperforming thyroid), as they are intended to stimulate thyroid function.
